Women Loggers on the Land - Women at War - WWII

During the Second World War, British women took on some of the most physically demanding work imaginable — including logging. As part of the Women's Timber Corps, thousands of women felled trees, operated sawmills, and managed forests across Britain to keep the nation supplied with timber for the war effort.
