Vintage circus poster, stone lithograph.  c. 1920's. Restored on linen - mint condition - There is only one of each of these Koringa posters that still exist.
Koringa was the leading act for the Mills Brothers Circus in the late 1930's. They claimed she was the only female fakir in the world, trained in the art of sorcery and magic and born in India. In reality she was French-born Renee Bernard from Bordeaux.
French translation: 'This Hindu child-woman knows no fear and controls wild beasts.'
