Fric-Frac (1939) is a delightful French comedy directed by Claude Autant-Lara and Maurice Lehmann. Fernandel plays Marcel, a naïve young assistant to a jeweller who falls in with a pair of lovable criminals — played by the incomparable Arletty and Michel Simon — who have designs on his boss's safe. What follows is a warm, witty, and thoroughly entertaining caper full of Parisian charm.

Based on Édouard Bourdet's hit 1936 stage play, the film brings together three of French cinema's most beloved performers at the height of their powers.
