Based on the original Belgian poster. And it's Marilyn Monroe like you rarely see her — not the bombshell, not the icon, but the actress. Bus Stop (1956) was her first film after studying at the Actors Studio, and she poured everything into it.
She plays Chérie, a saloon singer with big dreams and a worn-out sequined dress, pursued across the American West by a lovesick cowboy who doesn't understand the word no. Joshua Logan's film is tender, funny, and surprisingly raw — and Monroe's performance is one of the most underrated of her career.
This reproduction of the vintage Belgian movie poster captures that rare moment when the world's most famous woman was also its most serious actress.
