Brian Jones, founder of the Rolling Stones. Jones formed the band in London in 1962, bringing together Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, to create one of the greatest rock bands in history.
A multi-instrumentalist of extraordinary talent, Brian Jones could master almost any instrument he picked up — guitar, harmonica, sitar, dulcimer, and more. His innovative sound was the creative backbone of the early Rolling Stones, shaping their unique blend of blues, rock, and psychedelia.
Tragically, Brian Jones died on July 3, 1969, at just 27 years old, found in the swimming pool of his home, Cotchford Farm — the former property of Winnie-the-Pooh author A.A. Milne — in East Sussex, England. He remains one of the most gifted and enigmatic figures in rock history.
