Bouquet de Fleurs dans un Vase de Pierre - Jacob van Walscapelle

Jacob Van Walscapelle, (Dutch painter, 1644-1727)

Jacob van Walscapelle was probably trained in Dordrecht but also studied with Cornelis Kick (1631/34-1681) in Amsterdam. His meticulously rendered, fruit and flowers are strongly reminiscent of works by de Heem and Mignon of the late 1660s. This painting is the earliest dated example of the artist's work.
