Kissing Cousins — Elvis Presley, 1964
Directed by Gene Nelson, Kissing Cousins (1964) is a lighthearted musical comedy starring Elvis Presley in a double role. He plays both an Army officer sent to the Great Smoky Mountains to convince his mountain kinfolk to allow a missile site on their land — and his blond look-alike cousin who stands in his way.
Full of charm, humor, and plenty of Elvis songs, the film captures the King at his most playful. It was shot in Panavision Metrocolor and features a cast of colorful characters, including two spirited country cousins competing for the affections of both Elvises.
